Cody Graves is President of Automated Energy, Inc., a leading provider of web-based energy information services for business and utilities. AEI is currently monitoring over 4,500 MW of electric consumption on a daily basis for businesses and utilities across 45 states, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Graves is a former Chairman of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, where he served as a member from August 1991 until June 1997. Since leaving the Commission, Graves has focused on the restructuring of the natural gas and electric utility industries. Besides helping to develop information solutions for evolving energy markets, Graves has advised consumer groups, utilities and legislatures across the country.

Graves has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for The Center for the Advancement of Energy Markets (CAEM), the Executive Committee of the National Energy Marketers Association, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ Committee on Electricity, the Oklahoma Natural Gas Policy Commission, the Consumer Energy Council of America Electric Restructuring Forum, and the Harvard Electricity Policy Group.

Prior to his service on the Commission, Graves practiced law at the Oklahoma City law firm of Crowe & Dunlevy and worked nine years on the staff of United States Senator David L. Boren, where he served as Legislative Director and Legal Counsel.

Graves received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with Honors, from the University of Oklahoma. While working on the staff of Senator Boren, Graves earned his Juris Doctorate at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Editor on The Tax Lawyer.
